Michigan Disability Rights Trainings
My name is Frank Vaca. I am reaching out on behalf of the Michigan Disability Rights Coalition. We are a statewide non-profit disability rights organization that advocates for the rights of people with disabilities at the grassroots and state levels.
I am working on a project that is aimed at providing support and technical assistance to community organizations that are looking to become more inclusive of the needs of people with disabilities. We work with community organizations to assess and identify inclusion gaps and design trainings and materials based on their needs to support them in their effort to become more inclusive of the needs of people with disabilities. Past organizational partners who went through these programs have reported that the support given by MDRC was revolutionary for their organization and led to a deep cultural change that now includes people with disabilities at all levels of the organization.
I am reaching out to you today to see if this is something you are interested to explore more. I am available to meet with you to discuss this further and answer questions that might come to mind for you.

Give disability leaders a chance

https://mdrcldo.org/ I’m a graduate from the program and fortunate to work with them now. If given the chance and opportunity people with disabilities can be exceptional leaders. Given the user ability and availability to do so.
